We spare no effort to serve Islam, introduce Muslim scholars and spread their heritage, the Grand Imam to the Kazakh Ambassador
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received on Monday, at Al-Azhar headquarters, Ambassador Khairat Lama Sharif, the Ambassador of the State of Kazakhstan. The Grand Imam said that the scientific and educational relationship between Al-Azhar and Kazakhstan is good and solid, thanks to the cooperation between Al-Azhar and its University with the state of Kazakhstan and its universities, and that the scholars of Kazakhstan had a prominent role in enriching the Islamic thought. Imam Al-Farabi, may Allah have mercy on him, was a prominent Islamic philosopher whose philosophy received a great attention at Al-Azhar University through scientific theses that discussed the thought of Imam Al-Farabi and his efforts in the service of human civilization. The Grand Imam stressed that Al-Azhar spares no effort to serve Islam, introduce Muslim scholars and promote their ideas.
For his part, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif to serve the Muslim nation and religious sciences. Since he came to Cairo as Ambassador six months ago, Mr. Sharif has been keen to raise the level of coordination and cooperation between his country and Al-Azhar. He expressed his pleasure that Al-Azhar is cooperating with Kazakhstan to arrange for a conference on Al-Farabi's Contributions to Enriching Human Civilization, and that Kazakhstan seeks to benefit from Al-Azhar's expertise in the field of cataloging and studying manuscripts in the coming period, and organizing scientific events and activities to spread the heritage of Imam Al-Farabi.
