Cooperation protocol signed by Grand Imam and Minister of Manpower to train Al-Azhar students in labor market skills
His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Muhammad Safaan, Egyptian Minister of Manpower and Immigration, as they signed a cooperation protocol aimed at equipping students of Al-Azhar institutes and faculties with the knowledge and skills necessary for the labor market.
The Grand Imam said that there are ceaseless efforts being made to reduce the problem of unemployment, and to provide the means that would empower the Egyptian youth. He pointed out that the protocol signed today between Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif and the Ministry of Manpower is a positive step on the way of qualifying young people and providing them with the skills necessary for the labor market in a way that ensures that they are protected against the dangers of intellectual polarization and moral deviation.
The Minister of Manpower, for his part, indicated that the protocol represents a good measure for the fruitful cooperation between Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Manpower aiming to qualify the students of Al-Azhar institutes and colleges for the labor market, through vocational training systems affiliated with the ministry.
The protocol provides for the dissemination of a culture of work among the students of Al-Azhar institutes and faculties, and the dissemination of a culture of occupational safety and health among young people. It also aims to enhance aspects of cooperation taking advantage of the capabilities available to both parties, especially the faculties of engineering and agriculture affiliated to Al-Azhar University, benefiting from the expertise of faculty members in the field of developing the vocational training system and creating new professions through it.
