Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received the second group of imams and Islamic preachers from Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines, India and Bangladesh, registered in Course No. 122, organized by the Al-Azhar Global Academy for Training Imams and Preachers.

The Grand Imam said that the message of Islam that Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif brings to the world is to convey the message of peace to all humankind, regardless of their religions or beliefs, based on the saying of Allah Almighty, “There is no compulsion in religion” (Qur’an, 2: 256). 

The foreign imams and preachers, for their part, confirmed that they benefited considerably from the training program, which gave them the ability to refute the deviant opinions and ideas that some try to attach to Islam, stressing their full commitment to the moderate approach of Al-Azhar as the only guarantee of world peace.
