Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received today, Wednesday, Manuel Morales Lama, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Egypt. The Grand Imam said Al-Azhar is making great efforts to promote the values of dialogue, fraternity and tolerance globally, and expressed the readiness of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif to strengthen cultural and scientific cooperation with the Dominicans by providing appropriate training programs to train Muslim imams from the Dominican Republic in addressing contemporary issues and problems. 

For his part, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic praised the efforts of Al-Azhar and the Grand Imam’s vision of promoting the values of human fraternity, dialogue with the other and tolerance, expressing his pride in his Arab origins. He also affirmed his country's keenness to benefit from the great scientific and cultural position of Al-Azhar as the leading moderate Islamic institution in the world.
