Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received today, Monday, the delegation of the Egyptian Evangelical community, headed by Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Community in Egypt, to congratulate the Grand Imam on the blessed ˁEid ul-Aḍḥa .At the beginning of the meeting, the Grand Imam said he was pleased that the symbols of the Evangelical sect came to greet him, stressing that all Egyptians are brothers who share one homeland, live together all its worries and joys, presenting the world with a unique model of coexistence among the people of the same homeland.

For their part, the delegation of the Evangelical community congratulated His Eminence the Great Imam on the occasion of the blessed ˁEid ul-Aḍḥa, wishing him and all Muslims continued health and wellness, and for Egypt continued security and stability. They emphasized that the stances of His Eminence the Grand Imam always express a constant keenness to promote the spirit of brotherhood and tolerance in Egypt and worldwide.
