Kuwait occupies a good place in the hearts of Arabs and Muslims—Grand Imam
Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif received, on Thursday at the headquarters of Al-Azhar, Ambassador Mohammed Saleh Al-Zuwaikh, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Cairo. The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar expressed his pride in the strong relationships between Al-Azhar and the sisterly State of Kuwait in the scholarly, cultural, humanitarian and charitable fields, noting that Al-Azhar, throughout its long history, has been keen on performing its scholarly and social mission in a way that suits the heritage of this respectable institution and its important role towards the issues of the Arab and Muslim world. HE pointed out that Kuwait occupies a special place in the hearts of the Arab Muslims.
On his part, the Ambassador of Kuwait stressed that Al-Azhar is an ancient Islamic institution that enjoys a great position globally, thanks to the moderate religious approach, tolerance and moderation it presents to the world and to the Arab and Muslim nation in a way that best represents the fact about Islam. He also pointed out that Kuwait is proud of its relationship with Al-Azhar and the mutual visits during the past years that reflect the strength of these relations and their importance in serving the causes of the Arab and Muslim nations.
