Today, Monday, at the Headquarters of Al-Azhar, H.E Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, received Prof. Abdel-Razek Desouki, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University. The Grand Imam stressed the need to raise the awareness of the youth and protect them against extremist ideas and atheism, to listen to them and learn about their thoughts and concerns, and to intensify lectures and workshops on refuting atheist and extremist ideas that aim to distort the image of Islam among youth and to exclude religion and morality from their daily life. For his part, Prof. Abdel-Razek Desouki expressed his pleasure at meeting the Grand Imam and appreciation for his efforts in advocating the issues of youth and women empowerment. He also applauded the role of Al-Azhar in adopting the causes of the Arab and Muslim nations, stressing that Kafr El-Sheikh University seeks to conclude cooperation protocols with Al-Azhar through Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, to benefit from its expertise in guarding youth, refuting atheist misconceptions, and answering all youth inquiries regarding religious matters.
