Al-Azhar Grand Imam receives members of the Supreme Judicial Council
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar:
Judges are a fundamental pillar in establishing justice and spreading security and stability in societies.

We appreciate the Grand Imam’s efforts to spread peace and present the true image of Islam.
We appreciate the efforts of Al-Azhar Reconciliation Committee in resolving many cases of blood feuds and confronting abhorrent and barbaric customs.
His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, received on Wednesday the members of the Supreme Judicial Council headed by Counselor Assem Al-Ghaish, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation.
The Grand Imam said that the judicial system is one of the fundamental pillars upon which the state relies to establish the values of justice and consolidate justice and stability in societies. He stressed that judges have a heavy moral responsibility, praying to Allah Almighty to help them establish justice and prompt it, and to help them support the oppressed and raise the voice of truth and justice.
The President of the Supreme Judicial Council and his accompanying delegation expressed their delight at meeting the Grand Imam and their appreciation for his efforts in spreading the correct image of Islam, its tolerant message and principles, which call for peace and mutual understanding among all.
They affirmed that the Grand Imam's personality, with its open-mindedness and awareness of all contemporary issues, has contributed to highlighting the moderation of Islam and its tolerant approach. They emphasized that Al-Azhar is the impregnable wall that fends extremist ideas, and that it is the largest and most influential Islamic religious authority in the world. They also appreciated the role played by Al-Azhar Reconciliation Committee and its efforts in resolving many problems related to revenge in Upper Egypt and eliminating these abhorrent customs that still disturb social security and stability.
