Under the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and General Supervisor of the Zakat and Charity House, Prof. Ahmad al-Tayyeb, the Zakat House continues its efforts to provide humanitarian support to our people in the Gaza Strip, helping them confront the humanitarian disaster and the gripping famine they are experiencing as a result of the ongoing brutal Zionist aggression against the Strip.

The Zakat and Charity House has dispatched the eleventh relief convoy as part of its international “Help Gaza” campaign. The convoy is heading to the Strip, carrying thousands of tons of food and relief supplies, along with 1,000 fully equipped tents to shelter families who lost their homes because of the aggression.

This convoy is an extension of a series of convoys launched by the Zakat House since the beginning of the aggression, which has so far totaled 10 convoys. The new convoy focuses specifically on meeting the needs of women and children, who are suffering from displacement, scarce resources, and a severe shortage of necessities.

The convoy includes medicines and medical supplies, baby formula, diapers, and healthcare products, as well as clothing, blankets, dry and canned food, and drinkable water. This effort aims to provide a decent life for the most affected and vulnerable groups within the Gaza Strip.

The Zakat and Charity House emphasized that this convoy represents a practical embodiment of its mission to champion just humanitarian causes, foremost among them is the Palestinian cause, and to stand by those affected in their ordeal. This comes within the framework of the global campaign launched by His Eminence the Grand Imam under the slogan “Sacrifice your wealth and support Palestine.” This campaign has received widespread support from institutions and individuals in more than 80 countries around the world, who have participated in supporting previous convoys, out of confidence in the House's credibility and effective humanitarian role.

The Zakat and Charity House reiterates its commitment to continuing to dispatch relief convoys on a successive basis, according to a careful field assessment of priorities and needs. This reliance is based on the support of charitable people from within and outside Egypt, complementing the official efforts of the Egyptian state to support the Palestinian cause, end the aggression, lift the blockade, and provide various forms of support to our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip.
