Accepting the will of Allah, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad al-Tayyeb offers his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on the passing of His Eminence Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al ash-Sheikh, Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and head of the Kingdom’s Council of Senior Scholars, after a career in spreading knowledge, fatwas, and Sharia sciences.

Al-Azhar mourns the passing of the deceased and offers its sincere condolences to his family and students, praying to Allah Almighty to forgive the deceased, show him His infinite mercy, to admit him into His spacious Paradise, and to grant his family and relatives patience and solace. “Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”
