The Grand Imam Congratulates Pope Tawadros and Christian Brothers on Easter
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, made a phone call with His Holiness Tawadros II, Pope of the Orthodox Church, to congratulate him on the occasion of Easter, wishing the Christian brothers in Egypt and the world that these happy occasions be returned to them with all goodness and safety. During the call, His Eminence expressed Al-Azhar's pride in this relationship that links the Egyptians, Muslims and Christians, in a true embodiment of human brotherhood, and that this brotherhood will always remain the solid bond that strengthens the homeland and pave its way for construction, development and facing challenges. At the end of the call, His Eminence the Grand Imam and His Holiness Pope Tawadros prayed to Allah Almighty to lift the scourge and pandemic off the country and the people, and to protect our homeland Egypt from all types of harm and evil.
