His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb extended his sincere congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, members of the Armed Forces, and the entire Egyptian people on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the victory of the 10th of Ramadan.

Al-Azhar affirms that the liberation of the land and the restoration of dignity were nothing but the fruit of the sincere will of a valiant army and an authentic people, whose resolves united at a pivotal moment in the history of the nation. It emphasizes that the 10th of Ramadan War represented an immortal national epic, in which the highest meanings of heroism and sacrifice were written, and presented a unique model of solidarity and steadfastness; this confirmed that the Egyptian army is the shield of the nation in times of war, and its support in facing challenges.

Al-Azhar calls upon the Egyptian people to draw inspiration from the spirit of the victory of the 10th of Ramadan, and to work with sincerity and dedication for the advancement and prosperity of Egypt. He asks Allah Almighty to bring back this occasion with more progress, prosperity, security and stability, and to protect Egypt and its people from all harm and evil.
