His Eminence Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, extends his sincere congratulations and best wishes to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and the Arab and Muslim nations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, praying that Almighty Allah accept our good deeds and return these blessed days to Egypt and our nation with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.

The Grand Imam affirms that Eid al-Fitr represents a divine reward following the fulfillment of the obligation of fasting, and a valuable opportunity to renew bonds of affection and compassion, reinforce the values of solidarity, and reject division and discord. He calls on Muslims everywhere to seize this occasion to maintain family ties, bring joy to the poor and needy, show kindness and goodwill in dealing with others, and uphold the principles of Islamic and human brotherhood.

He further supplicates Almighty Allah during these blessed days to unite the ranks of the Muslim nation and strengthen its unity, especially in light of the serious challenges and hardships currently facing the region. He prays that Allah spare the blood of the Muslim nation, spread peace, security, and stability across the Arab and Muslim worlds, protect our homelands from strife and evil, and guide them to what is right.
