Grand Imam of Al-Azhar: The Muslim nation’s legacy is not an impediment to progress and distinction
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb averred that the legacy of the Muslim nation has never been an impediment to its progress and distinction, or an obstacle to adopting the means of strength, pride and invulnerability. Likewise, the Grand Imam asserts that the noble Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) was not a stumbling block in the way of building a cohesive society whose members enjoy the bounties of this world and of the Hereafter. In a tweet on his official Facebook and Twitter accounts, he stressed that Muslims should insightfully and properly read their history to learn anew how to compete with the peoples of the civilized world and take a due position among them.
