His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, extended his sincere congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the brave men of the Armed Forces, and to the great Egyptian people, on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the liberation of Sinai.

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif affirms that the memory of the liberation of Sinai will remain a dear memory to the hearts of all Egyptians, and an important part of the national identity. It testifies to the determination, will, heroism and great sacrifices of the Egyptian army in defending the homeland and preserving its dignity.

Al-Azhar calls for drawing inspiration from this great national anniversary to strengthen the values of work and productivity, consolidate the foundations of security, safety, and stability, and move forward towards construction and development, thus fulfilling the aspirations of the Egyptian people for progress and prosperity.
