His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, received His Excellency Mr. Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Egypt, today, Tuesday, at Al-Azhar headquarters, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation.

During the meeting, His Eminence emphasized the deep historical ties binding Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in serving the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.

His Eminence asserted Al-Azhar’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with religious and academic institutions in the Kingdom in a manner that serves the causes of the Muslim nation. He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, perpetuate the blessings of security and stability there, and bestow security, safety, and peace upon both Egypt and Saudi Arabia and the region.

The Saudi Ambassador, for his part, expressed his pleasure at meeting His Eminence the Grand Imam and his appreciation for his efforts in serving Islam and Muslims and in fostering the values of brotherhood and global peace. He emphasized the deep ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, as well as his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Al-Azhar across various fields.
