Grand Imam of Al-Azhar greets President El-Sisi and the Muslims on ˁEid-ul-ˀAḍḥā
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, extends his sincere greetings to Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, the Egyptian people, and all Muslims across the world on the blessed ˁEid-ul-ˀAḍḥā, wishing many happy returns to our Muslim nation, in all goodness, security and peace. His Eminence the Grand Imam calls on all to seize the blessed opportunity in fostering the spirit of fraternity, tolerance and solidarity, infusing pleasure in Muslim houses, and extending a hand of help to all the poor, the needy and the sick. The Grand Imam also affirms that this blessed occasion shall remain a symbol of sacrifice in obedience to Almighty Allah, inviting the Arab and Muslim nation to derive the meanings of unity, love and peace from it and to denounce the causes of division and discord, avoiding the brewing of enemies who seek to destabilize the security and stability of our nation.
