Grand Imam doubles October cash allowance for EZCH beneficiaries on the commencement of the academic year
His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Zakat and Charities House (EZCH), Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb decided to double the October cash allowance for Zakat beneficiaries on the commencement of the new academic year. The decision comes out of his keenness to support families in managing their children’s study requirements. In October, the family will receive double the monthly allowance that is disbursed to them by the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charities. The number of EZCH beneficiaries of the regular monthly cash aid program is about 96,000 families from all governorates. The EZCH provides direct cash assistance to most needy families and individuals to cope with living requirements. This aid falls under the category of the poor and needy families, as assigned by the EZCH out of the belief that this segment of the society is in urgent need for assistance; and this is being done under the supervision of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.
