The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb extends sincere greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, the Egyptian people, and the Arab and Muslim countries on the birth anniversary of the Prophet of humanity and the Messenger of Peace (pbuh). Al-Azhar confirms that the birthday of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a decisive moment in the history of the entire humanity, as it was the birth of the one who delivered humanity from the darkness of ignorance to the light of Islam, and rescued them from subservience to humans to the worship of the True Creator. Hence, he (pbuh) disseminated peace, mercy and safety and administered justice among people. He (pbuh) was the Prophet of Mercy sent by Allah to humankind.

On this blissful occasion, Al-Azhar calls on the Muslim masses to adhere to the morals of their Prophet (pbuh), follow his Sunnah (tradition) and his guidance, derived from his exemplary biography, and study his chivalrous deeds and heroism, and his conduct with his wives, children, Companions, neighbors and all other people. In his ideal conduct, he (pbuh) is an example for us to follow in our entire life. As it congratulates the Muslim masses around the world on this blessed occasion, Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif invokes Allah to grant all humankind in the east and west with prosperity, wellbeing, and blessings, and to shower our world with security, goodness and stability.
