The Grand Imam mourns Dr. Mohamed Hassan ˁAwad, former Vice President of Al-Azhar University
In firm satisfaction with the Decree of Allah Almighty, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, mourns Prof. Muhammad Hassan ˁAwad, former Vice President of Al-Azhar University, who passed away, today, Thursday (December 3, 2020). The Grand Imam states that the deceased was a role model in sincerity and dedication to his professions and to Al-Azhar and its message, as he kept treading the paths of knowledge with passion and love until he left us to the Abode of Truth (Afterlife). The Grand Imam thus extends his sincere condolences to the family of Prof. ˁAwad, praying to the Almighty Allah to bless him with abundant mercy and to grant his family with patience and solace; "Surely, we belong to Allah and unto Him we shall return."
