His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, extends his sincere congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Ministry of Interior’s staff, leaders, individuals, and the Egyptian people on Police Day and the anniversary of 25th January Revolution. In this context, Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif underlines its full appreciation of the leading role played by policemen in protecting the homeland and the citizens. In addition, Al-Azhar expresses its heartfelt thanks to and pride in the valiant Egyptian youth and police martyrs who made heroic sacrifices so that Egypt may enjoy safety, security, stability and peace. The Grand Imam thus supplicated to Allah the Almighty to shower the martyrs with mercy and forgiveness and to protect Egypt and its people from all harm.
