With due acceptance of God's decree and destiny, His Eminence the Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, mourns HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, who passed away on Saturday morning. “The late emir spent all his life serving his people and his country and supporting the causes of the Arab and Muslim nations”.  The Grand Imam extends his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Kuwaiti people and the family of the deceased, praying to Allah Almighty to bless him with mercy and forgiveness, and to endow his family and the brotherly Kuwait people with patience and solace; "Surely, we belong to Allah and unto Him we shall return."
