Largest EZACH aid convoy to enter Gaza
At the direction of Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House (EZACH), EZACH’s fourth relief convoy reached the city of Al-Arish in North Sinai Governorate yesterday evening, Thursday, in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing. The convoy consists of 50 trucks carrying approximately 1,000 tons of medical supplies, food, water, and other supplies.
The convoy is scheduled to go through the crossing in the coming days, in preparation for reaching the Palestinian territories, within the framework of a large international participation that involves delegations from 70 countries. The international participation comes in response to the call of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, who has appealed to everyone to continue supporting the people of the Gaza Strip under the “Save Gaza” campaign.
Under the orders of His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, EZACH sent three convoys to the Gaza Strip since the start of the brutal Zionist aggression against the Strip, under its “Save Gaza” campaign, headed by Professor Sahar Nasr, EZACH’s Executive Director. The current convoy brings the number of supply trucks that entered the Gaza Strip to 125 trucks with a total of about 2,000 tons of relief aid.
