Grand Imam directs reception of Al-Azhar secondary school students from Gaza in Cairo

As part of the humanitarian role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and considering the conditions of its students from Gaza, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, received senior students from Al-Azhar affiliated secondary schools (Azhari Institutes), both scientific and literary sections, from Gaza, at the May-15 Youth Hostel affiliated with Al-Azhar. During the exams, students will enjoy full board stay. Al-Azhar is keen to spare them the loss of an academic school year.
 
Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, said that His Eminence the Grand Imam directed communicating with the students and providing them with all means of comfort, considering the circumstances they went through. He indicated that His Eminence follows up on their daily affairs, wishing them good luck and success.
 
For his part, the Head of Al-Azhar Institutes Sector, Sheikh Ayman Abdel Ghani, explained that teachers of all subjects have been allocated to explain, simplify, and review the lessons the students had missed, so that the students can take the exit exams. The May-15 Youth Hostel will be used to accommodate the students immediately, which will provide the students with a suitable atmosphere for studying and with some means of entertainment, to raise their morale.
 
The secondary school exit exams for Gaza students will begin next Saturday, May 18, 2024. Literary section students will sit for jurisprudence and composition exams, while the scientific section students will take their jurisprudence and hadith exams. The literary section exams will end on Monday, June 24, 2024, while the scientific section exams will end on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
