GI mourns passing of Princess Lalla Latifa, mother of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI

Hajja Lalla Latifa, mother of King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco, passed away this evening.
 
With great sadness and sorrow, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb mourns Her Royal Highness Princess Hajja Lalla Latifa, mother of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of Morocco.
 
The Grand Imam extends his sincere condolences and sympathy to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and to the brotherly people of Morocco, asking Allah, Exalted be He, to show the deceased His infinite mercy and to place her in the abodes of the righteous. {To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return}.
