You have a great responsibility to expose the violations that innocents are being subjected to in Gaza, Grand Imam to Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic Countries in Thailand
 
The Grand Imam’ visit to Thailand is a message of support to Thai Muslims, Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries in Thailand 
 
Al-Azhar Grand Imam and MCE Chairman, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, met with the Ambassadors of Islamic and Arab countries to the Kingdom of Thailand, at his residence in the Thai capital, Bangkok.
 
The Grand Imam welcomed the Ambassadors of the Islamic and Arab countries to Thailand, pointing out his keenness to listen to them and learn about the conditions of the Arab and Islamic communities in Thailand. He stressed Al-Azhar’s keenness to meet the needs of Muslim communities around the world, and to introduce the services that Al-Azhar provides globally to Muslims, including scholarships, training courses for imams and preachers, and sending Al-Azhar scholars to spread its moderate thought across the world.
 
His Eminence stressed the role of the embassies of Islamic and Arab countries in introducing the Muslims and Arabs’ most important issue, which is the Palestinian cause, and exposing the violations to which innocent people are subjected in the besieged Gaza Strip. In addition, they clarify the Arab and Islamic position in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and refuting the counter-narratives and allegations that attempt to distort facts and falsify reality to deprive the Palestinian people of their most basic rights to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
 
His Eminence pointed out that he is well aware of the challenges that wars and conflicts entail in terms of growth, economy and infrastructure in various fields, as a result of experiencing several wars and conflicts during his childhood, to the point that his generation was called the generation of wars. Therefore, the issue of peace in Islam is a pivotal issue for Muslims and non-Muslims, and it is a word that Muslims repeat more than once in their daily prayers and in their meetings with others throughout the day. Therefore, Islam has made peace a pivotal principle in all aspects of life, so that Muslims remain aware of the value of peace and brotherhood.
 
The Ambassadors of the Islamic and Arab countries to Thailand expressed their happiness for meeting the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and their appreciation for his efforts to spread coexistence and brotherhood and clarify the correct image of Islam. They stressed the importance of his visit to the Kingdom of Thailand, explaining that these visits are widely followed by the Muslim masses in Thailand, and are a great support for them on various levels.
