Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI), Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, stressed that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif welcomes the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for human development, under the slogan: “A New Beginning for Human Development”, which aims to advance Egyptians and improve the services provided to them in fields of: education, health, sports, and culture, and facilitate their access to them. This aims to develop their skills in line with the needs of the new labor market, in order to restore the system of authentic Egyptian values and ethics that befit the history, religion, and civilization of this nation.

The Grand Imam announced Al-Azhar’s participation in the initiative through its various sectors and departments across the country. This is based on Al-Azhar's national role in promoting the moral framework of society, especially in light of these difficult circumstances in which our children and youth are exposed to a poisonous and unprecedented cultural invasion that aims to eliminate their identity, deviate them from their sources of strength, and completely separate them from their past, history, and civilization. He stressed that His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, did well when he linked this initiative to a strategy for national education and culture that aims to strengthen identity, awaken national sentiment, and deepen pride in the homeland, religion, and language, through educational curricula, cultural, and media content capable of addressing youth in a language that suits their aspirations and their vision of the future.
