The Grand Imam expresses appreciation for UAE Ministry of Tolerance’s efforts in promoting Human Fraternity Document globally

 

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar is a symbol of global tolerance, and we pray to Allah to crown his efforts in promoting dialogue and human brotherhood, UAE Minister of Tolerance

 

Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI), Prof. Ahmad al-Tayyeb received this morning, Saturday, at Al-Azhar HQ, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

 

The Grand Imam stressed Al-Azhar’s pride in the strong scientific, cultural and dawah relations that bind Al-Azhar to the United Arab Emirates, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. His Eminence praised the role of the UAE Ministry of Tolerance - led by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak - in promoting the culture of brotherhood and human coexistence, stressing that the world is in dire need of these efforts to promote peace and harmony.

 

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the efforts of His Eminence in promoting the culture of brotherhood and tolerance and introducing the Islamic approach that urges acquaintance among all, and positive openness to others. He stressed that the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar is a symbol of global tolerance, and that His Eminence’s efforts played an important role in correcting misconceptions about Islam, expressing his wishes that His Eminence’s efforts will be crowned with goodness for all.
