UAE President sends official delegation to offer condolences on passing of Al-Azhar GI’s sister

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has sent an official delegation to offer condolences to His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders (MCE), Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, on the death of his elder sister, who passed away this morning, Wednesday.
 
 
The delegation was headed by Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and included Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Haddad, Grand Mufti and Director of the Fatwa Department at the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, and His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre.
 
The delegation expressed the solidarity of the UAE, its leadership and people, with His Eminence the Grand Imam in this great loss, expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to His Eminence and his honorable family, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the deceased and to grant her family patience and solace.
