Palestinian President offers condolences to Al-Azhar GI on passing of his sister
Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI) and MCE Chairman, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, received a letter of condolences from His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, on the death of his sister, who passed away yesterday, Wednesday. In his letter, the Palestinian President expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to His Eminence the Grand Imam and his honorable family, saying: “We extend to you and your honorable family our sincere condolences and sympathy, and we pray to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the deceased, to grant her the highest level of Paradise, and to protect you, your loved ones, dear Egypt, and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif with His care, mercy, and well-being.”
