Al-Azhar GI discusses cooperation with Minister of Labor
His Eminence Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI), received today, Monday at Al-Azhar, Mr. Mohamed Gobran, Minister of Labor, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation.
During the meeting, it was agreed to enable Al-Azhar University students – males and females – to have training in various fields at the training centers affiliated with the Ministry of Labor, 38 centers across the country, and to qualify them to cope with the labor market and its requirements. In addition, they will go through a specialized training program that allows them to apply what they have studied in a practical manner, so that they can combine theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The Minister of Labor expressed his happiness for meeting the Grand Imam, and his appreciation for the great efforts His Eminence is making in presenting the correct image of Islam. He also praised Al-Azhar as a religious, educational symbol and as the oldest Islamic institution that spreads the true and moderate religion. He stressed the Ministry’s readiness to meet all the requirements of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif related to training and qualifying students.
