During the visit, the Grand Imam participated in “the Religious Reform Movement in Europe” celebration, which was organized by the Protestant Church on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of its founding. His Eminence delivered a keynote speech on tolerance and peaceful coexistence. He also met Dr. Norbert Lammert, President of the German Bundestag, and many German leaders, including the Head of the Evangelical Church, the Head of the Catholic Church, the Chairman of the SPD parliamentary group, the Federal Foreign Minister, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, and the Minister of the Interior.
