H.E. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, visited the Headquarters of the Al-Azhar to meet with H.E. the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb. The meeting is scheduled to address Arab-Islamic issues and ways of cooperation between Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif and the Kingdom of Bahrain in spreading moderation and underscoring Al-Azhar’s key role in combating extremist ideologies. It is worth noting that this is the first visit of its kind by a Bahraini monarch to Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif.
