The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, Iraq's new Ambassador to Egypt.

The Grand Imam congratulated the Iraqi Ambassador on his new diplomatic mission, expressing his sincere wishes for a successful tenure in Egypt. His Eminence explained that Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif has always been at the forefront of supporters for Iraq and Iraqis in the face of all forms of extremism. He pointed out that Al-Azhar is currently working on preparing a special program to train Iraqi imams to combat ISIS ideology, and to confront challenges and contemporary issues related to Iraqi affairs. 

The Iraqi Ambassador expressed his thanks to His Eminence the Grand Imam for his positions in support of the stability of Iraq and the unity of its people, stressing that Iraq urgently needs to benefit from the efforts of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif in combating extremism and terrorism, and facing the various intellectual challenges that Iraq is facing.
