Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received a number of the families of martyrs and injured before they travelled to the holy land of Mecca to perform ˁUmrah by a grant from the Sheikh of Al-Azhar.
The group included Mrs. Halawethom Zeinhom, who was injured in the terrorist bombing of Ad-Darb Al-Ahmar, Mr. Yasser Taha and his wife Shahinaz Ibrahim, parents of Al-Azhar student Lamia Yasser, who died when the Orabi Bridge wall fell on her while she was returning from college. They also included Mr. Abdel Aziz Muhammad and his wife Sabreen As-Sayed, parents of the martyr soldier Muhammad Abdel Aziz Muhammad Ali, a graduate of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Al-Azhar University, who was killed while on duty in Sinai.
The pilgrims expressed their sincere thanks to the Grand Imam and their appreciation of his support for them, stressing that these patriotic stances of His Eminence are the best response to the terrorists who are trying to undermine the persistence of the Egyptian people and their determination to eradicate terrorism.
