Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Jamal bin Huwaireb, the Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF).

Mr. Huwaireb discussed with His Eminence the Grand Imam the cooperation between the MBRF and Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif in a number of cultural and knowledge projects, including Al-Azhar New Library, as it is one of the most important treasures of knowledge in the Islamic world because it contains a very large number of manuscripts and rare books on many intellectual fields.

Bin Huwaireb stressed that Al-Azhar ideology is the safety valve for the Muslim nation, as it represents a guarantee of stability and coexistence between the various components of the Islamic societies, protecting young people from being deceived by claims of extremism and terrorism.

The Grand Imam praised the role of the MBRF in advancing knowledge and culture among the Arab readers, stressing his support for all cultural initiatives and institutions that preserve the great Islamic heritage.
