Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his visit to Cairo.

The two officials discussed the steadfast Arab position on rejecting all decrees that affect the foundations of the Palestinian cause and contradict international bodies.

Sheikh Khalid Al-Khalifa explained that Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif plays a pivotal role at this period, which is to preserve Arab awareness, and to confront attempts to cloud minds and divert attention from the rights and foundations of the nation.

The Grand Imam said that the Arab countries still rely on unity, integration and joint Arab action to overcome the challenges and problems they face, the most important of which is the Palestinian cause. He stressed Al-Azhar’s full support for the Palestinian people ongoing until they obtain their full rights, and confirmed its rejection of all unjust decrees that seek to liquefy and end the Palestinian cause.
