Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Mr. Chainarong Keratiyutwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt.

Mr. Keratiyutwong thanked the Grand Imam for taking care of Thai students at Al-Azhar, and for following up on the case of a Thai student who was injured in an accident outside the university until he recovered. He expressed his country's aspiration for further cooperation with Al-Azhar in various scientific and missionary fields, praising Al-Azhar's efforts and its leading role in promoting values of peace and social coexistence.

The Grand Imam clarified that what Al-Azhar is doing towards Thai students and all international students is part of its duty to Muslims and their children, expressing his appreciation for the great cooperation between Thailand and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
