Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received members of the Egyptian Sustainable Development (ESD) Forum.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Eminence welcomed the members of the ESD to the headquarters of Al-Azhar, expressing his appreciation for the forum’s efforts in raising people’s awareness and increasing developmental perceptions to achieve sustainable development in Egypt. He pointed out that following the teachings of Islam in dealing with natural resources is the best way to achieve sustainable development.

Members of the ESD Forum, for their part expressed their pride in the personality of the Grand Imam, and their appreciation for the great and tangible efforts exerted by Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif to promote world peace and enhance a culture of dialogue. They stressed their aspiration to cooperate with the various sectors of Al-Azhar in the field of sustainable development.
