Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, Chairman of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), to discuss ways to support scientific cooperation between Al-Azhar and the ASRT.

During the meeting, His Eminence said that Egypt needed to invest in awareness and serious scientific research to achieve the progress of our beloved country. HE stressed that increasing awareness is the first step to success, adding that we have a distinguished group of youths who need support and encouragement to help them bring out their capabilities and innovations.

Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, for his part, explained that the ASRT is working to promote and support a culture of innovation and creativity throughout Egypt. He added that the ASRT’s technology incubator “Ruwaq” provides material and technical support, training, feasibility studies and registration to enable the innovator to develop his idea and project and to be successful.
