His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Rev. Andre Zaki, Head of the Evangelical Community, and his accompanying delegation in a visit to greet the Grand Imam on the blessed ˁEid ul-Adha. The Grand Imam averred that the cohesion of our society is the secret of Egypt's strength and leadership throughout history, and its immunity against attempts to disunite the Egyptians and sow division and conflict among them. For his part, Rev. Zaki and his accompanying delegation greeted the Grand Imam on the blessed ˁEid ul-Adha, stressing that Al-Azhar represents a symbol for all Egyptians, Muslims and Christians alike. They wished the Grand Imam and Al-Azhar scholars many happy returns of the occasion, praying for good health and prosperity for them all, and progress and prosperity for the Egyptians.
