Health sector needs support of all state institutions, the Grand Imam to Minister of Health
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health.
The Grand Imam said that the health sector is one of the most important sectors needing the support of all state institutions, being the only sector that touches on the lives of citizens of all ages. HE pointed out that the hospitals affiliated with Al-Azhar University are committed to providing the best medical service and distinguished health care for citizens who frequent them. He praised the vision of the Egyptian leadership for ensuring the development of the health insurance system, in order to guarantee a healthy and dignified life for citizens.
The Minister of Health said that the medical sector in Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif is part of the lifeblood of the Ministry of Health, which contributes strongly to providing health services to citizens, especially the poor and the underprivileged. She stressed the ministry's commitment to implementing all the training programs required for the new comprehensive health insurance system for graduates of medical schools at Al-Azhar University.
Dr. Hala Zayed added that the comprehensive health insurance system is based on health system automation, continuous training, and scientific research. She stressed the need for concerted efforts to raise the level of expertise for all medical school graduates from various Egyptian universities, including Al-Azhar University, and refine their scientific and practical knowledge by providing training opportunities in various international universities.
