Egypt's judges a fortress of safety for the homeland and source of reassurance for citizens, the Grand Imam to SCC Chief Justice
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Chancellor Saeed Marˁi, Chief Justice of the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC), at Al-Azhar headquarters.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Eminence welcomed Chancellor Marˁi, stressing that the court and its judges are a fortress of safety for the homeland and a source of reassurance for citizens. He added that they play a very important role in applying the law and protecting and guaranteeing the freedoms and rights stipulated in the Constitution in a way that contributes to enhancing justice and stability.
The SCC Chief Justice expressed his appreciation of the efforts of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif to promote moderation, and refute the claims of extremism and hatred, stressing his pride in the efforts of the Grand Imam in promoting the values of peace, dialogue and coexistence, consolidating and propagating the tolerance of Islam.
