Al-Azhar Grand Imam receives Bahraini Ambassador at the end of his tenure in Cairo
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Ambassador Rashid bin Abdul Rahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as his country’s Ambassador to Egypt.
The Grand Imam said that the relations between Al-Azhar and the Kingdom of Bahrain have always been characterized by their strength, expressing his appreciation for the role played by Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa in serving Arab and Islamic causes.
His Eminence thanked His Excellency the Ambassador for his sincere efforts in strengthening brotherly relations between Egypt and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, during his tenure, wishing him success in his new mission.
The Bahraini Ambassador, for his part, expressed his pleasure for the period of his tenure in Egypt, which witnessed fruitful cooperation with Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif. He expressed the appreciation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the leadership and the people, for Al-Azhar’s pioneering role in establishing the tolerant Islamic principles, and for the Grand Imam, who always seeks to foster the values of peace and the culture of tolerance and coexistence among different countries and nations.
