Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received Ambassador Hisham bin Muhammad Al-Jowder, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt.

His Eminence congratulated the new Bahraini Ambassador on assuming this mission, wishing him success in performing his duties, stressing that Al-Azhar has a strong relationship with the Kingdom of Bahrain and is always ready to provide all support to Bahrain in various scientific and cultural fields through Al-Azhar’s moderate approach that enlightens the Muslims everywhere. 

The Bahraini Ambassador said he was pleased to meet the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and talk about cooperation frameworks between Al-Azhar and Bahrain and supporting them during the upcoming period. He expressed his desire to benefit from Al-Azhar’s experience in the field of moderate religious discourse and the dissemination of a culture of harmony and tolerance. He also praised the tours, the meetings and the conferences held by Al-Azhar and the Grand Imam in Egypt and abroad.
