Ready to increase scholarships for Bosnian students to meet Bosnian community needs, the Grand Imam
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received at Al-Azhar headquarters, Ambassador Yasser Sorour, the Egyptian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss the existing relations between Al-Azhar and Bosnia, and ways to enhance Al-Azhar's role towards the Bosnian society.
The Grand Imam said that Al-Azhar is ready to increase the number of scholarships offered to students of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to offer a number of scholarships in scientific fields at Al-Azhar University to meet the needs of the Bosnian community in this field. He stressed that Al-Azhar spares no effort to play its educational, missionary and societal role to serve the issues of the Arab and Muslim nations.
The Egyptian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, for his part, affirmed that Al-Azhar is carrying a universal message, and playing a pivotal role in dealing with the issues of Muslims around the world, in addition to sending medical convoys with distinguished medical professionals to other countries. He held deep respect for the Grand Imam, confirming that he will support the relationship of the Bosnian community with Al-Azhar, and make the most of the scholarships offered by Al-Azhar to Bosnian students.
It is worth noting that Al-Azhar had sent a medical convoy to Bosnia in 2016, which was very well received by the people of Bosnia and medical professionals.
