Al-Azhar is the source of knowledge we look up to, Mufti of Malaysia
In his office at Al-Azhar headquarters, Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received today a Malaysian delegation headed by Dr. Luqman Abdullah, Mufti of the Federal States in Malaysia. Al-Azhar Grand Imam said Al-Azhar has historically extended relations with Malaysia in the religious, cultural and scientific fields. Malaysian students, and their fellow international students at Al-Azhar, are given the necessary appreciation, attention and care. Al-Azhar seeks to educate its students and immunize them with the moderate Azhari curriculum. It also refines them with the skills and sciences that make them a source of security and tranquility in their societies.
For his part, the Mufti of the Federal States in Malaysia conveyed the greetings of Sultan Abdullah Ahmed Shah, King of Malaysia, and his appreciation for the Grand Imam and Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif. The Grand Mufti of the Federal States also expressed his pride in the scientific and educational efforts that Al-Azhar provides to the Malaysian community. These efforts have made Al-Azhar a scientific destination for more than 8,000 Malaysian students, as well as tens of thousands of graduates. This makes us look up to Al-Azhar as the source of the science we emulate in Malaysia.
