Anglican Episcopal Church delegation congratulates the Grand Imam on ˁEid ul-Aḍḥa
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, received today, Sunday, the delegation of the Anglican Episcopal Church headed by Archbishop Sami Fawzy, Archbishop of Alexandria, to congratulate the Grand Imam on the blessed ˁEid ul-Aḍḥa
At the beginning of the meeting, the Grand Imam said he was pleased that the symbols of the Anglican Episcopal Church came to greet him. He also congratulated His Holiness, Archbishop Sami Fawzy, for his inauguration as Archbishop of Alexandria for the Anglican Episcopal Church. He stressed that the spirit of brotherhood, cohesion and respect that prevails among the Egyptians, Muslims and Christians in the homeland, on various occasions, confirms that Egypt has always been the homeland of goodness and tolerance. His Eminence prayed to Allah Almighty to protect our Egypt from all evil and harm.
For their part, the delegation of priests of the Episcopal Church congratulated the Grand Imam on the blessed ˁEid ul-Aḍḥa, wishing him and all Muslims continued health and wellness. They affirmed their great appreciation for the efforts of the Grand Imam and the great leap he has achieved at the level of interfaith dialogue and the achievement of human brotherhood locally and internationally.
