Al-Azhar Grand Imam receives Minister of Health in Luxor and praises Al-Qurna Hospital construction model
Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb and Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, inspected this morning, Sunday morning, the construction work at Al-Qurna Specialized Hospital in Luxor Governorate, in the presence of Counselor Mostafa Elham, Governor of Luxor, and a group of leaders from the Ministry of Health and Luxor Governorate. Upon receiving the Minister of Health in Luxor, the Grand Imam praised the construction model of the hospital, which will be an integrated medical edifice on the land of the city of Qurna. Qurna is one of the most important tourist areas in Luxor Governorate, which receives thousands of tourists annually.
The comprehensive health insurance system being applied in Luxor has effectively contributed to alleviating the burden on patients, providing integrated and distinguished medical services. HE thanked the Ministry of Health for its efforts to advance the health system in Egypt.
The Minister of Health stated that Al-Qurna Specialized Hospital in Luxor is being established on an area of 21,000 square meters, at a cost of about 800 million pounds, and that the hospital will join the comprehensive health insurance system that is being applied in the governorate within the second phase. The hospital will be constructed and equipped within 8 months, according to the construction criteria and quality standards of the Comprehensive Insurance Health System. The Minister also directed the establishment of a nursing school attached to the hospital in response to the people of the city of Qurna.
Al-Qurna Specialized Hospital in Luxor will be established on an area of 21 thousand square meters, in addition to an area of complementary services to the hospital. It is planned that the hospital will include clinics of various medical specialties, and a radiology department, which will be equipped with all types of the latest equipment in the field of radiology, in addition to a laboratory. It will also include operating rooms, intensive care units, cardiac and cerebral catheterization intervention rooms, and the hospital will be provided with an oxygen tank with a capacity of 11,000 liters.
