Delegation of the Evangelical Church greets the Grand Imam on the blessed ˁEid ul-Fiṭr
His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb received a delegation of the Evangelical Church, headed by Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, Head of the Evangelical Community in Egypt. This visit was conducted to greet the Grand Imam on the approaching ˁEid ul-Fiṭr. In this visit, the delegation emphasized that ˁEid ul-Fiṭr is an occasion for all Egyptians, who together look forward to a bright future for Egypt marked by prosperity and progress by dent of the support and cooperation of loyal Egyptians. The delegation also commended the integrated juristic vision on the Muslim—Non-Muslim relations as proposed by the Grand Imam during his participation in the Reform Day in Berlin. They stressed that the vision proposed by the Grand Imam has had a positive impact on the German society.
For his part, the Grand Imam welcomed the delegation, thanking them for the ˁEid ul-Fiṭr greeting visit. He added that mutual respect between the Muslim and Christian as citizens of one homeland confirms that the Egyptians are united by a spirit of affection, mercy, brotherhood and peace. He then wished many happy returns of the occasion with all enjoying goodness, prosperity and blessings.
